About the Bitaxe 702
The Bitaxe 702 (also sold as the Supra Hex 702) puts six Bitmain BM1368 chips on one Bitaxe board. Bitaxe.de states about 4.2 TH/s at about 90 W, around 21.4 J/TH, and it runs AxeOS like every Bitaxe. The BM1368 is the chip generation before the Gamma's BM1370, so you get a lot of hashrate for the price but pay more for power per TH.
Best for: Someone who wants roughly NerdQaxe++ hashrate for less money up front and has cheap electricity, or wants the heat in winter.
Check before you buy
- It uses about 90 W around the clock, roughly 65 kWh a month, so check the yearly power cost on this page at your own rate.
- It needs a 12 V / 10 A power supply. Check whether the listing includes one.
- Compare it with the NerdQaxe++ (newer chips, about 4.8 TH/s at about 80 W) before you buy.
- Stock comes and goes, so check the stock badge first.

Questions
What is the cheapest Bitaxe 702 right now?
Nothing is in stock at the shops we check right now. The lowest listed price is $280.55 at Bitaxe.de, which is out of stock.
Is the Bitaxe 702 in stock?
At the last check: Bitaxe.de: out of stock. Stock changes fast, so confirm on the shop's page.
How much electricity does the Bitaxe 702 use?
Sellers state about 90 W, roughly 788 kWh a year if it runs 24/7. At $0.10, $0.15 and $0.25 per kWh that's about $79, $118 and $197 a year.
Can a Bitaxe 702 make money?
Almost certainly not. It's a solo "lottery" miner: it either finds a whole Bitcoin block (a huge reward) or nothing. As a rough illustration, on a 1,000 EH/s network it would find a block about once every 4,500 years on average, while electricity costs money every year. Buy it as a hobby, not an investment.
