NerdQaxe++ vs Nerdaxe Gaia
Both are premium small miners, but they get there differently: the NerdQaxe++ uses four BM1370 chips, while the Gaia uses one newer BM1373 chip and states a much lower power draw along with a lower hashrate.
The numbers, in plain words
- Price: the cheapest in-stock NerdQaxe++ is $249.99 (Bitcoin Merch); the cheapest in-stock Nerdaxe Gaia is $399.99 (Bitcoin Merch), $150.00 more (1.6×).
- Hashrate: NerdQaxe++ states ≈4.8 TH/s versus ≈2.6 TH/s for Nerdaxe Gaia (1.8× the hashrate on paper).
- Efficiency: NerdQaxe++ ≈16.7 J/TH, Nerdaxe Gaia ≈9.6 J/TH, so the Nerdaxe Gaia gets more hashrate per watt (lower is better).
- Price per TH/s: NerdQaxe++ $52.08, Nerdaxe Gaia $153.84 at their cheapest in-stock prices; the NerdQaxe++ is the better value per stated TH/s.
- Running cost: about $105 a year for the NerdQaxe++ versus $33 for the Nerdaxe Gaia at an assumed $0.15/kWh, running 24/7.
Hashrate and power are vendor-stated approximations. Higher hashrate raises your lottery odds in proportion, but the odds stay tiny either way.
